Co-designing is an approach that involves stakeholders or ends users in the entire design process to ensure the end result meets their needs and is functional.
I was tasked in my co-design research class, taught by renowned design researcher Elizabeth Sanders, to propose an extensive mock research proposal that outlined the steps of the co-design presented below. I focused on the future of senior living and redefining this sector to better support the people that use these spaces. I primarily wanted to understand the current senior living experience to identify pain points and how these communities can be improved from a generational standpoint.
